Brenda Villacorta is the owner and pastry chef of Sucré Table. Her pastry work has been described as modern, minimalist and flavorful. Brenda is responsible for producing original pastry creations, crafting new menu items and operations. She prides herself on indulging in the true meaning of the art of pastries.
Prior to owning Sucré Table, Brenda trained in New York City with world-renowned culinary experts including Jean George and pastry chef Dominique Ansel. She previously served as Head Pastry Cook at Le Bernardin. Le Bernardin boasts three Michelin stars and ranks as one of the best dining experiences in the world.
Brenda continuously appears on top TV networks and culinary shows. She is a Food Network Challenge Winner, bringing the title home twice. Brenda continues to aid in the development of Sugar Art Studio, which specializes in sugar flowers, chocolate art, pastries and cake design. Her mother Giovanna Smith started the business upon immigrating from Peru. Brenda credits her mother for her love of creating culinary masterpieces.
In addition to her professional experience, Brenda is a proud graduate of The Culinary Institute of America. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in food business management, as well as a degree in baking and pastry arts.
In her free time, Brenda enjoys exercising and exploring local beaches. She was born in Peru and raised in the Tampa Bay Area. An avid traveler, she speaks fluent Spanish. Looking towards the future, she hopes to continue sharing her passion for creating modern and flavorful pastries with the world.
